Disorderly Conductors
Disorderly Conductors draws from the crossroads of rhythm & blues, jazz, fusion, and rock, blending original compositions with an eclectic selection of covers. The band's repertoire is evenly divided between original material and carefully chosen covers, giving them the freedom to move between their own songs and music that has influenced them.
At the center of the band is the longtime musical partnership of Dale Echnoz, Daniel Geary, and Rich Keene, who have been playing and recording together, on and off, for more than four decades. More recently, guitarist and composer Den E Lee joined the lineup, bringing a fresh voice to the group and becoming an important collaborator with Dale on new material.
Dale handles the bulk of the band's composition and lyric writing, while Daniel Geary brings a powerful, soulful vocal presence that gives the songs their emotional center. Rich Keene and Den E Lee bring distinctly different but complementary voices to the guitars—Rich with his fiery, commanding lead work and Den with a versatile blend of rock, blues, funk, and fusion.
The band's covers reflect that same musical range—from Steely Dan, to Joe Bonamassa, to The Dukes of September, to jazz standards such as Night and Day and Skylark.
The result is a band that isn't easily confined to one genre. Disorderly Conductors is about musicians with deep roots, decades of experience, and a shared desire to make interesting music together.

Dale Echnoz : Composer, Lyrics, Keyboards
Dale Echnoz's musical journey began in the rigorous world of classical music, where he studied bassoon before eventually moving into jazz and contemporary music. He attended Berklee College of Music as a saxophone major and earned a BA in Composition and Arranging, followed by graduate work in composition at the University of Colorado Boulder.
In the mid-1980s, Dale moved to Los Angeles and got his foot in the door at the legendary Record Plant Studios. From there, he moved on to Motown Records' Hitsville Recording Studios, where he worked as a staff engineer with some of the biggest names in American music, including Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Natalie Cole, and The Temptations.
After stepping away from the music business for two decades to pursue other technical fields, Dale eventually found his way back to music—and back to longtime friends Daniel Geary and Rich Keene.
Today, from his studio in Longmont, Colorado, Dale serves as the primary composer and lyricist for Disorderly Conductors. His music draws on his classical training, jazz background, recording experience, and lifelong fascination with arrangement and sound. The result is music that can be soulful, sophisticated, and occasionally aggressive, with a strong emphasis on both musical detail and storytelling.
Daniel Geary : Vocals, Guitars, Bass
Daniel Geary is a veteran Colorado singer, songwriter, guitarist, and bassist whose powerful, soulful voice has been a fixture of the state's music scene for decades.
His musical journey took off in the early 1980s when he fronted EZ Money, a high-energy staple of the Boulder and Denver club scene. Alongside Dale Echnoz and Rich Keene, EZ Money became part of the broader Front Range music circuit, performing throughout Colorado in clubs and venues from Boulder and Denver to the mountain resort towns, building a reputation for high-energy live shows. Daniel was the band's frontman as well as a key part of its rhythm section, bringing his bass playing to the stage alongside his powerful vocals and guitar work.
More than four decades later, Daniel, Dale, and Rich have reunited, bringing with them a musical chemistry forged through years of playing and recording together.
Daniel's musical palette has evolved into a soulful blend of roots, blues, and acoustic storytelling. His powerful vocal style brings an emotional immediacy to the band's original material, while his guitar and bass work give him an unusually broad role within the group.
Away from music, Daniel's passion for history and culture finds another outlet through his work as the owner of Lone Tree Antiques & Fine Art Gallery in Eaton, Colorado. Housed in a beautifully restored 1905 building, the gallery specializes in historic American Frontier and Native American art.
Whether he's preserving history through art or telling a story through song, Daniel remains, at heart, a storyteller.
Rich Keene : Guitars
Rich Keene brings a fiery, unmistakable guitar voice to Disorderly Conductors. His playing is characterized by searing riffs, commanding lead work, and an energy that has made him a featured guitarist and musical director throughout his career.
Rich's fascination with the guitar began early. By the age of 12, he was already forming bands and playing the music of the 1960s. He later attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied for two years and further developed his already considerable musical abilities.
For years, Rich was a prominent figure in the Colorado music scene before eventually returning to his home in Maine. His career has included serving as a featured lead guitarist and musical director in every band he has joined, giving him extensive experience not only as a performer but also in arrangement and composition.
His resume includes performing in the backup band for Motown legend Martha Reeves of Martha and the Vandellas, as well as opening for artists including The Everly Brothers and Marty Stuart.
Today, Rich brings that lifetime of experience to Disorderly Conductors, where his powerful lead playing provides one of the band's defining musical voices. When he's not onstage, he passes his knowledge along, teaching guitar, bass, piano, mandolin, ukulele, and music theory to the next generation of musicians.
Den E Lee : Composer, Guitars
Hailing from Longmont, Colorado, Den E Lee is a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer with deep roots in the Northern Colorado music community.
His musical identity draws heavily from classic rock, soulful blues, and funk, while his versatility allows him to move easily between driving full-band grooves and more intricate fusion-oriented instrumental work.
Den's guitar playing combines technical versatility with an emphasis on raw emotion. His work includes tracks such as Elephant Blues and News at Five, while collaborations with regional musicians have produced expansive, improvisational performances—including fiery guitar trade-offs on Prowler Jam.
Den is the newest member of Disorderly Conductors, joining the longtime musical partnership of Dale, Daniel, and Rich. His collaborations with Dale have opened up new musical territory for the band, bringing fresh ideas, new compositions, and a different creative perspective to Disorderly Conductors' evolving sound.
